⚖️ Hero Equipment Balance Changes – February Update!
Hey Chief! 🚀
In our upcoming February Update, we’re introducing balance adjustments to several Hero Equipment pieces and the Invisibility Spell. We want to give you a heads-up on what’s changing and why, so you can prepare for the shift in strategies!
🛠️ Why These Changes?
We’ve identified certain overpowered combinations that dominate the meta and some underused Equipment that deserves a boost. These adjustments will make battles more balanced and strategic while keeping the game fun and competitive.
🔻 Nerfs
⚔️ Barbarian King – Earthquake Boots (Common Equipment)
What’s changing?
- Reduced building damage to prevent excessive destruction when paired with Spiky Ball.
- No longer affects Skeleton Trap skeletons, making the King more vulnerable to distractions.
Why?
The Earthquake Boots + Spiky Ball combo has become too powerful, especially at high Town Hall levels. This change ensures that Earthquake Boots remain effective for opening compartments but don’t feel overwhelming.
🟣 Grand Warden – Fireball (Epic Equipment)
What’s changing?
- The final radius upgrade is now unlocked at a higher Equipment level.
Why?
To balance competitive play, we’re adjusting Fireball’s impact so it doesn’t feel too dominant in the current meta.
⚡ Royal Champion – Electro Boots (Epic Equipment)
What’s changing?
- Slight nerf to effectiveness, making it less overwhelming.
- The Invisibility Spell duration is reduced by 0.25 seconds per level.
Why?
Electro Boots have been the most-used Equipment, making defenses struggle to counter them. Even with this adjustment, they will still pair well with Invisibility Spells but won’t be as overpowering.
🔺 Buffs
🩸 Barbarian King – Vampstache (Common Equipment)
What’s changing?
- Improved effectiveness to make it a more viable choice.
Why?
Vampstache has a small but loyal fanbase, and we want to make it a stronger option for the King!
🏰 Barbarian King – Barbarian Puppet (Common Equipment)
What’s changing?
- Increased strength and utility as a better “starter” Equipment for the King.
Why?
New players should have a solid early-game Equipment choice, so we’re making Barbarian Puppet more competitive.
🎯 Archer Queen – Archer Puppet (Common Equipment)
What’s changing?
- Buffed stats to improve its usefulness for new players.
Why?
Similar to Barbarian Puppet, we want Archer Puppet to be a better early-game option for players trying out Queen Equipment.
💎 Grand Warden – Life Gem (Common Equipment)
What’s changing?
- Improved healing mechanics, making it more effective for larger troop armies.
Why?
Life Gem has fallen behind other Warden Equipment, so this buff makes it a more strategic option for different attack styles.
👑 Royal Champion – Royal Gem (Common Equipment)
What’s changing?
- Boosted effectiveness to increase its viability.
Why?
Royal Gem currently has the lowest use rate among Royal Champion Equipment, and we think it deserves more love! 💙
👀 What About Lavaloon Puppet?
We know many of you have been asking for a buff to the Grand Warden’s Lavaloon Puppet (Epic Equipment). While its current use rate is low, we’re holding off on changes for now.
Why?
- For players who have already upgraded Lavaloon Puppet, it can actually be quite strong, especially when paired with Dragon attacks.
- Some Equipment takes time to unlock, upgrade, and integrate into strategies—we want to give players a chance to fully explore it.
That said, we’re keeping a close eye on it 👀, and if necessary, we’ll make adjustments in a future update!
🎯 Final Thoughts
These balance changes aim to diversify strategy options while keeping battles fair and exciting. Whether you’re a Hero Equipment master or just starting out, we hope these adjustments create new opportunities for creative gameplay!
